Quickstart

Build, test and publish your first AI agent in FlowHunt AI Studio in about ten minutes.

This page takes you from an empty workspace to a published agent. You need a FlowHunt account and a role that can create and edit agents in the workspace.

  1. Open the Agents list

In the sidebar, click Agents. The list shows every agent in the workspace. Click Add new Agent in the top right corner.

  2. Describe what the agent should do

The Create new agent dialog opens with one field: Describe what it should do, or search templates. Type a sentence such as “answer questions about our return policy”. From two characters on, matching templates appear under Closest templates.

    You have three ways forward:

    • Click Use template on a template that fits. FlowHunt creates a copy in your workspace and opens it.
    • Click None of these fit? and then Start from scratch. The create form opens with your sentence already in the description and in the system message.
    • With the field empty, click the Create blank Agent card for an empty agent, or the Import Agent card to load an exported JSON file.

For a blank or from-scratch agent, enter an Agent name and click Create agent. The builder opens.

  3. Write the instructions

The builder has the test chat in the middle and a settings panel on the right. In the panel, open the Preferences tab and the Model & instructions section. Pick a model, then edit the System Message. This is where you tell the agent who it is, what it may do and how it should answer.

Your changes save by themselves a moment after you stop typing. The status next to the agent’s name reads Draft saved.

  4. Give it knowledge and tools

In the Apps section, click Add app. Pick FlowHunt tools, or switch to Connect your MCP to add an MCP server. A new agent already has three tools: File Attachment Retriever, Document Retriever and URL Content Retriever. See agent tools for how to choose.

  5. Test it in the chat

Type a question in the chat. The test chat always runs your latest draft, so every change you make in the panel applies to the next message. If an answer is wrong, change the system message or the tools and ask again. Use New chat in the sidebar to start from a clean conversation. More in sessions and testing.

  6. Publish

Click Publish changes in the top bar. The small dot on the button means the draft has changes that are not live yet. After you publish, the dot disappears. See share and publish for how to give other people access.

Credits

Chat messages run the agent with real AI models and use the workspace’s credits. Before the AI Agent step starts, FlowHunt checks the workspace balance. Creating an agent also counts against your plan’s flow limit. See credits and plans and limits.
