MCP
Hosted MCP servers
Create an MCP server in AI Studio, choose which integration tools it exposes, and connect other MCP clients to it.
A hosted MCP server is a server FlowHunt runs for your workspace. You choose which tools from your integrations it exposes, and any MCP client can then connect to it with a URL and a key. Use it when you want a tool such as Claude or Cursor to act in your connected accounts without building a flow.
This is different from Connect your AI assistant, which lets an assistant manage FlowHunt itself.
Where it lives#
Open MCP Servers in the AI Studio sidebar. The page lists your servers and has an Add MCP Server button. The sidebar entry is shown on the Trial, Starter, Pro, Premium and Enterprise plans. Owners, admins and editors can create, edit and delete servers. Members, guests and maintainers do not see the page.
Create a server#
Click Add MCP Server
A dialog opens with a Server name field at the top. Click the name to edit it.
Choose capabilities
The dialog lists the services you can expose, grouped as Connected Servers and Available Servers. Pick the capabilities of each service that the server should offer. If a service is not connected yet, connect it first. See Connecting accounts.
Save
New servers are active from the start. Open the server later to rename it, turn it off with the Active switch, or remove it with Remove MCP Server.
Change what a server exposes#
Open a server from the list. The Configure tab shows its Capabilities, described as what your MCP server can do. Click Add capability to expose more. A client sees every capability you add, so expose only what the work needs.
Connect a client#
The Connect tab of a server shows the connection details:
- Server URL, the workspace-scoped address of this server.
- API Key, sent as
Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEYwhen the client connects. Put it in the header, never in the URL.
Choose your client in the Client picker to see its setup steps. Supported clients include Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor, Gemini, VS Code, Windsurf and Warp, plus a generic option for anything else.
Only owners, admins and editors see the key. Anyone with the key can run the server’s tools and reach the connected data, so treat it like a password and do not paste it into shared channels.
Anyone with the key can act
The key grants the same access as the capabilities you added. If it leaks, remove the server and create a new one.
Use the tools inside a flow#
A flow can also call an MCP server as a client. Add the MCP Client step to a workflow and point it at a server URL. See MCP Client for its settings.
When something goes wrong#
- A client cannot connect: check that the server is Active and that the key is sent as a Bearer header.
- You cannot see the page: your role or plan does not include it. Ask an owner or admin, and see Team and roles.
- A tool cannot reach a service: check the account on the Integrations page. See Integration disconnected.
