Agents

Share and publish

Publish an AI agent, restore an earlier version, share it with your workspace or as a chatbot, and export or import its configuration.

Your edits in the builder are saved as a draft. This page explains how to make them live, go back to an earlier version, and get the agent in front of other people.

Draft and published#

The builder saves your changes by itself a moment after you stop typing. The status next to the agent’s name tells you what happened: Saving, Draft saved, Draft not saved or Published, with the time. Next to it, a version label shows the draft version and, if they differ, which version is live.

Saving does not change what your users get. To do that, publish.

Publish#

Click Publish changes in the top bar. A small dot on the button means the draft has changes that are not live yet. Once the publish finishes, the dot disappears. The button is disabled when the draft and the published version are the same, while a save or conversion is running, and until the agent has loaded.

On a narrow window the button shortens to Publish or to an icon.

Publishing also activates triggers that register on the live version, such as webhooks and schedules. Until then, a trigger in the Triggers section shows Publish to activate.

Version history#

Open the History tab in the settings panel, or click the status next to the agent’s name. When the draft is ahead of the live version, the tab carries a small version label.

The tab lists:

  • Draft, with Unpublished changes and the version number, when the draft is ahead.
  • Earlier versions, newest first, each with its date and its title if it has one. The version that is live carries a Live badge.

Hover a version and click Restore (the tooltip says Restore this version) to bring it back into your draft. The panel returns to Preferences. The restored version is not live until you click Publish changes.

Share#

Open More actions → Share. The Share agent dialog has two parts:

  • Workspace link. Click Copy link to copy an address that opens the agent. Anyone with access to this workspace can open it.
  • Share as chatbot. Publishes the agent as an embeddable or public chatbot. FlowHunt opens the chatbot form for this agent and, after you save it, shows the embed code. The steps are in create and embed a chatbot.

Sharing with people outside the workspace goes through a chatbot. To give a teammate edit rights, change their role instead. See team and roles.

Export and import#

More actions → Export downloads the agent’s configuration, its nodes and edges, as a JSON file named after the agent. More actions → Import loads such a file into the agent and replaces its current setup in the draft. You can also create a new agent from a file with the Import Agent card in the create dialog.

Import is only offered in edit mode. If the imported file contains more than an agent can hold, the panel shows that the flow’s nodes no longer match the agent form and offers Convert to workflow. See convert to workflow.

Who can do what#

The More actions menu, the settings panel and the Publish changes button appear for roles that may edit the agent. A role without edit rights sees the agent in the same layout as View as a user, with no editing controls. See team and roles.

When you open a public template, the builder shows Add to my agents in place of the editing controls. It copies the template into your workspace.

If something goes wrong#

  • If Publish changes is greyed out, there is nothing new to publish, or a save is still running. Wait for Draft saved.
  • If you restored a version by mistake, restore the version you wanted from the History tab again, or press Ctrl+Z (⌘Z on a Mac). Undo only works while the builder page stays open.
  • If a webhook or schedule does not fire, check that the agent is published.
