Troubleshooting

Integration disconnected

What to do when an app shows Not Connected, asks you to reconnect or a step cannot reach your account.

An integration is a connection between your workspace and an outside account, such as Slack, Google or HubSpot. When it is missing, expired or short of permissions, any agent or step that uses it stops working.

Symptoms#

  • A step or agent fails with “NAME is not configured. Please set up the integration first.”
  • The error says “NAME is connected but is missing the permissions it requires. Please reconnect the integration and grant the additional permissions.”
  • The error says “NAME requires re-authorization. The refresh token is expired or revoked. Please reconnect the integration.”
  • In the editor, a warning says “NAME integration is required, but was not found”, “Some components require following integrations:” or “Component is not integrated”.
  • In an agent’s Apps list, the app shows Connect instead of Connected.
  • On Integrations, the card shows Integrate where it used to show Integrated.

Likely causes, in order#

  1. It was never connected in this workspace. Integrations belong to a workspace. A connection in another workspace does not carry over.
  2. The login expired or was revoked. The provider no longer accepts the saved login because it expired or was revoked. This gives the “requires re-authorization” error.
  3. A permission was left out. The account is connected, but you did not accept every permission when you connected it. This gives the “missing the permissions” error. For example, uploading to YouTube needs the Google account reconnected with YouTube permissions.
  4. Microsoft needs admin consent. If you connected a Microsoft organization, the integration shows “It seems you integrated your Microsoft Organization to FlowHunt. For your integration to function correctly, please give admin consent” with a Give Admin Consent button.
  5. You reached the integration limit. Creating one fails with “Allowed limit of Integration reached. Please upgrade your plan.” Starter allows one and Pro five. See plans and limits.
  6. Your role cannot see it. Members and guests do not get the Integrations page, and Maintainer can only view it.

Fix it#

  1. Click Integrations in the sidebar and open the app. The status badge reads Connected or Not Connected, with a Last connected: date when it was linked.
  2. Click Connect NAME. For Google and Bing the button reads Reconnect NAME if there is already a connection. Sign in with the right account and accept every permission it asks for.
  3. If the connection is tangled, click Disconnect NAME, confirm, then connect again. A connected Google account covers all Google products, so disconnecting it removes every one of them, in every workspace connected with the same email. You then reconnect each product you need.
  4. Return to the agent or workflow and run it again. In an agent’s Apps list the app’s menu has Configure connection.

Owner, Admin and Editor can connect and disconnect. See connecting accounts and using integrations.

Disconnecting removes access for every agent

Removing an integration disconnects the account from the whole workspace. Every agent and workflow that uses it fails until you connect it again.
