Use as an agent tool#
Tool name: google_ads_run_gaql
Execute a Google Ads Query Language (GAQL) query for any read operation. Use this for listing campaigns, ad groups, ads, keywords, getting performance metrics, checking targeting settings, and all other read-only operations. PAGINATION (CRITICAL): Every query MUST include a LIMIT clause (e.g. LIMIT 50) to avoid overwhelming the context window with too many rows. If you omit LIMIT, a default of 50 rows is enforced automatically. Use OFFSET for pagination (e.g. LIMIT 50 OFFSET 50 for page 2). NEVER request more than 200 rows at once — large result sets WILL cause 413 errors. REQUIRED: You MUST call google_ads_gaql_reference BEFORE writing any query — call it with no arguments to list all resources, or with a resource name to get its fields. DO NOT guess field names — many common guesses are wrong (e.g. ‘campaign.type’ does not exist, the correct field is ‘campaign.advertising_channel_type’). Always verify fields with google_ads_gaql_reference first. Monetary values are in micros (1,000,000 = $1).
